His older brother is Davide Bresadola, a three-time Olympian across Nordic combined (Torino 2006) and ski jumping (Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018). Giovanni started around the age of seven, but frequent muscle pain in cross-country skiing led him to devote himself exclusively to the jump.
Developed within a historic Val di Sole club such as G.S. Monte Giner, he quickly became a young pillar of the Italian movement, competing at Beijing 2022 and at two World Championships. His best individual World Cup result is a pair of eighth places, both achieved on the large hill (Engelberg 2022 and Lake Placid 2024). In March 2024, he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, sidelining him for over 14 months. A forced stop that has only strengthened him ahead of the Olympic competitions in Predazzo—the “temple” where he has dreamed all his life of winning a medal.
