After a childhood in speed skating, at 11 he decided to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Federico and, above all, his father Roberto—an Olympian at four consecutive Games (1992, 1994, 1998 and 2002) and Italy’s most decorated ski jumper, with 17 World Cup podiums and two world bronze medals in ski flying.
Third in the team event at the Alpen Cup in Planica 2018, in September 2022 he shone on the normal hill in Villach, finishing second and then first in the FIS Cup. He later competed at two World Championships, with his best individual result being 34th place on the large hill at Trondheim 2025. In everyday life he is an avid music listener, with tastes spanning modern and classical genres. His favourite sportsperson is Brazilian footballer Douglas Costa; within ski jumping, he particularly admires the style of American Kevin Bickner. Predazzo awaits him for his first jumps under the Olympic lights.
