She is the queen of Italian short track. Her relationship with the Olympic rings is a privileged one: at Torino 2006, aged just 15 years and 10 months, she won bronze in the 3,000 m relay, becoming the youngest Italian Olympic medallist of all time. She reached the podium in the next four editions as well and, with 11 medals in total, is the most decorated Italian athlete in Olympic history.Notable are the two 500 m Olympic golds, won at Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022. Across individual and team events, her palmarès also includes 13 world championship medals (one gold) and 32 continental medals (17 golds). Married to former Italian skater Anthony Lobello since June 2014, she was born to go fast and break records, beginning to skate at the age of four, following in the footsteps of her brother Alessandro. The first Italian woman ever to carry the Tricolour twice in the Opening Ceremony (Pyeongchang 2018 and Milano Cortina 2026), she is set to experience her second home Games where, at 35, she wants to write yet another indelible page in her Olympic story.
