She learned to skate before she learned to walk. Her parents are two internationally renowned skaters: Ermanno Ioriatti, who represented Italy at four consecutive Olympic Games from Nagano 1998 to Vancouver 2010 in speed skating, and Elisabetta Pizio, who competed in the same discipline at Lillehammer 1994. After a youth pathway that also included long track for her, she ultimately chose short track and was part of the national team that flew to Norway for the 2016 Youth Olympic Games. Her palmarès features two World Championship silvers with the mixed relay, while at continental level, among other things, she can count two second places over 1,500 metres (Gdańsk 2024 and Dresden 2025) and, again in Germany, victory with her teammates in the relay.
A big ice-cream fan, she describes herself as stubborn and tenacious, and her main interests are reading and listening to music. In the future she hopes to graduate (she is a law student) but above all to wear an Olympic medal around her neck.
