He began curling at the age of nine, watching friends and his brother Loris. Despite some notable youth results, around 15 he decided to stop and dedicate himself to football. Meanwhile, as he came of age, he completed his studies as a surveyor and started working as a porphyry stone layer in the family business.
His life changed forever in February 2018. In Cembra, during a ceremony for athletes returning from the Pyeongchang Games, he met Luca Rizzoli, a former teammate, who convinced him to return to the ice. The rest is history. He became a key member of the Italian team led by Joël Retornaz, with whom he won two world bronzes and two European bronzes. In 2022 he also earned selection for the Beijing Olympics as alternate. A great lover of singing, at Milano Cortina he wants to shout to the whole world that, after so much hard work, that dream has become reality.
