She is the granddaughter of Lino Mariani, one of the founders in 1966 of the historic Curling Club 66 Cortina and later a representative of Italy at two World Championships. Her father Marco, a former professional ice hockey player, competed at the Turin 2006 Olympic Games with the Italian curling team, also representing Italy at the 2005 World Championships in Victoria and at ten European Championships, and today serves as technical director of the national teams.
After an initial introduction to the sport, at around the age of 12 she decided to devote herself entirely to the family passion, which until then she had alternated with alpine skiing and figure skating. Between 2023 and 2024, she competed at both the EYOF in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon, finishing fifth and seventh respectively.
In 2025, she then took part in the Junior World Championships in Cortina, where the Italian women’s team finished inside the top ten. In 2022, during a school lesson, she followed on her tablet the mixed doubles Olympic final at Beijing 2022 won by Amos Mosaner and Stefania Constantini—her current skip as she makes her Olympic debut on home ice with the national team. An extraordinary dream come true.
