Biography

She grew up in Cortina and, as a child, achieved excellent results in both alpine skiing and figure skating. An injury, however, forced her to stop, and she chose to switch to curling on the advice of a friend. She began around the age of 12—slightly later than her teammates—but within a few seasons she became an indispensable member of the Italian team.

In 2023, at the World Championships in Sandviken, Italy finished fifth and she was named the best player of the tournament in the lead position. That same season she won European silver in Aberdeen—matching the highest continental peak reached by Italy—while a year later she again narrowly missed a world podium, finishing fourth in Sydney, Canada. Engaged to Francesco De Zanna, part of the men’s national set-up, she and her partner have also finished second at the Italian mixed doubles championships. She is madly in love with Canada and keeps firmly in mind all the work and sacrifices that have brought her this far: ahead of her Olympic debut at Milano Cortina, she is already focused on the next target.
