Born in Giaveno, he is a former youth football talent from the Susa Valley. Twelve years ago, riding the wave of enthusiasm left behind by the Turin 2006 Olympics, he unexpectedly decided to quit the country’s most popular sport and begin his curling journey. No decision could have proved more fitting.
Encouraged by his teacher and following in the footsteps of his older sister Denise—herself a professional curler—he played for several years with Team Piemonte Virtus in Pinerolo, the nearest training facility. From there began the construction of a path paved with success.
After several rewarding seasons and international appearances, he caught the attention of the Italian Air Force, which in 2018 enlisted him as an aviere scelto, giving him the opportunity to turn his passion into a profession. In recent years, he has gained extensive experience within Team Retornaz, with whom he has competed at one World Championship (Lethbridge 2019) and four European Championships, earning bronze in Östersund in 2022.
He does not suffer from vertigo and continues to work hard with his sights firmly set on the top. He has chosen Milano Cortina to discover Olympic magic and the unforgettable emotions it can deliver.
