Biography

Born in Tesero, in Trentino-Alto Adige, he is one of the youngest faces in the Italian squad. Initially dedicated to Nordic skiing—his idol being Norway’s Petter Northug—at the age of 14 he discovered biathlon thanks to a regional club that organised a trial training session, and he was immediately captivated by the variety between skiing and rifle shooting.

A relay specialist, at the 2022 Junior World Championships in Soldier Hollow he was part of the men’s quartet that claimed silver. In December of the same year he made his IBU Cup debut, followed in January of the following year by his World Cup debut.

At senior level, he has competed in three consecutive World Championships (2023, 2024 and 2025), establishing himself as a consistently reliable performer, particularly in team events. When he wants to switch off from racing, he relaxes and clears his mind by playing the piano or watching TV series. He loves the hardship of his sport because, as he says, “the pain you feel today will be the joy you feel tomorrow”.
