Biography

He is part of the sizeable group of talents drawn into bobsleigh from athletics. He began in the decathlon, achieving encouraging results, before converting to bobsleigh in order to fully exploit his physical qualities and continue pursuing the dream of making sport the launchpad for his relentless passion.

One of his idols is Italian legend Günther Huber, Olympic champion in the two-man event at Nagano 1998. As a young athlete, he was supported by a programme developed by the Province of Bolzano to assist competitors from civilian clubs. He later joined the Army, an enlistment that allowed him to set his sights on the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, where he was part of the four-man crew that finished inside the top 15.

The Ladin dish he cannot live without is turtres, savoury fritters typical of festive periods. A lover of nature and mountain excursions, he makes determination his indispensable weapon in achieving every goal, even the most ambitious.
