He gave up football at 13 after several seasons in midfield for Stuoie Lugo and switched to athletics, first trying the 1,000 metres, then long jump and, due to knee problems, sprinting. After bronze at the 2013 European Junior Championships in Rieti with the 4x100 and silver at the Mediterranean U23 Championships—improving to 10.33—he was contacted by federation officials in summer 2016 and began his bobsleigh adventure. He fulfilled the Olympic dream at both Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022 and, in November 2023, was part of the Italian four-man sled that made history by finishing second in Yanqing (the first World Cup podium in 17 years). With determination he has combined sport with university studies, earning a degree in Sport Sciences. He loves nature and spending his free time with those closest to him—people to whom he hopes to dedicate an unforgettable result at the Milano Cortina Games.
