The mountains gave him birth and also the strength to chase his dream. He grew up idolising Pietro Piller Cottrer and Silvio Fauner, building the first part of his cross-country skiing pathway with passion and determination.
In February 2019, as a junior, he made his World Cup debut in the freestyle sprint in Cogne and a few days later flew to Seefeld for the World Championships, becoming the youngest Italian ever to take part in a senior World Championship event. In December of the same year he finished 22nd in the Davos freestyle sprint and became the first Italian cross-country skier born in the new millennium to score World Cup points. A winner of two bronzes (10 km classic and 4x5 km relay) at the Youth World Championships in Germany, he enjoys listening to rock music or watching a Will Smith film, and among the other sports he practises are alpine skiing and climbing. At Milano Cortina he will experience Olympic beauty and the emotions it can deliver for the second time in his career.
