He was born in a community of downhill skiers but, from an early age, chose to follow his parents’ passion and dedicate himself to cross-country skiing. He took his first steps with Sci Club Tezze, before registering and developing competitively with US Primiero. Later came the move to the Fiamme Gialle, which marked the start of his professional career.
A sprint specialist, he can boast two World Cup podiums: second place in Beitostølen (December 2022) and third in Val di Fiemme (January 2023), both achieved in his beloved classic sprint format. When he is free he enjoys many mountain-related activities: from cycling to mountaineering and trekking. In February 2024, after putting aside a fracture of the left carpal scaphoid, he suffered a nasty training crash in Canmore, Canada, which resulted in broken tibia and fibula and hard months of rehabilitation before returning to the international scene. At the Milano Cortina 2026 Games he cannot wait to reclaim his place of honour alongside the best in the world.
