She began competing in natural track luge at the age of eight before switching to artificial tracks after middle school, determined to pursue the sport professionally and follow in the footsteps of her family legacy. Her uncle is Armin Zoeggeler, Olympic champion and current technical director of the Italian team, alongside whom she competed at the Sochi 2014 Games, finishing 22nd in singles.
Winner of two European bronze medals, she made history in February 2019 on the German track in Altenberg, where she claimed victory and returned an Italian woman to the top step of a World Cup podium after a 23-year drought. Outside competition, she has a passion for horses, swimming, volleyball and the Styrian harmonica, and she also has a background in alpine skiing and football. At the Milano Cortina Olympics, she is ready to give everything. With her pedigree, speed truly runs in her DNA.
