He is the younger brother of Lukas, gold medallist at the 2016 Lillehammer Youth Olympic Games in the men’s doubles alongside Felix Schwarz. He too chose artificial-track luge, but made a name for himself thanks to his qualities in the singles.
In January 2020 he was one of Italy’s flag-bearers at the Lausanne Youth Olympic Games in Switzerland, where he finished just off the podium both individually and in the mixed team relay event. In recent years he has climbed the rankings within Italy’s World Cup group, establishing himself as the third singles slider behind Dominik Fischnaller and Leon Felderer. His most prestigious career result came at the end of January 2024 on the German track in Altenberg, where he secured bronze at the U23 World Championships. He came close to repeating that result twice in a row (fifth place) at the category European Championships in Innsbruck 2024 and Winterberg 2025). A lover of hiking and video games, he dreams of seeing his surname back on an Olympic podium—this time at the senior Games.
