Born in Panchià, near Lake Tesero, like many young athletes from the area he grew up watching the great champions battle in Val di Fiemme at the World Championships or the Tour de Ski, dreaming that one day he could be a protagonist on those same tracks. The first to put cross-country skis on his feet was his mother and, when he began achieving good results at national level, he did everything he could to turn the sport into his job. A U23 World Championship bronze medallist in the relay in 2020 in Germany, he describes himself as a versatile athlete and a sociable, cheerful person, and he holds former Canadian cross-country skier Alex Harvey in particularly high regard.
In his free time he has two main hobbies: fishing and mushroom picking, activities that relax him and allow him to stay in touch with nature. After representing Italy at the last four editions of the senior World Championships, he is mature enough to finally take the big step: his Olympic debut.
