He started skating at the age of five in Trento. Unlike his younger sister Chiara, a leading figure in the Italian short track team, he chose the long track. At world level he can count two Junior World Championship bronzes: the first won in the allround in Salt Lake City 2018, the second taken over 1,500 metres in Baselga di Pinè. At senior level, however, in both 2021 and 2023 (on each occasion at the iconic Thialf arena in Heerenveen) he was forced to settle for fourth place alongside his teammates in the team pursuit.
His sporting idols are Spanish MotoGP rider Aleix Espargaró and Swiss tennis star Roger Federer, and on the eve of an important race he always tries to distract himself by listening to some music. In his free time he also enjoys hiking or shopping. He took part in the Beijing 2022 Olympics as a reserve. Four years later, his moment has finally arrived.
