She started at six. At school she was given a leaflet titled “Try Sport”, and the activity in question was speed skating on ice. Fascinated, she asked her parents to sign her up and what initially was just a game quickly became a passion—and then a job. Developed at Sporting Club Pergine under the expert guidance of Roberto Sighel (father of Italian short track skaters Pietro and Arianna), in 2020 she travelled to the Lausanne Youth Olympic Games, where she narrowly missed the podium in the mixed team event.
Her favourite race is the 500 m, the distance where she can unleash all her explosiveness and leg power. Gold medallist at the Junior World Championships in Inzell in February 2023, two years later she proved she had elite potential at senior level too, earning an impressive eighth place at the World Championships in Hamar. Away from competition she relaxes by drawing, skiing, or taking long walks in the mountains or by the lake with friends. Born in 2004, the privilege of making her Olympic debut at home is, for her, already a wonderful victory.
