Biography

Snow is in her DNA. At the age of two she began following in the footsteps of her father Norbert, a ski instructor, and of her uncles Oskar and Karla, who were members of the national team for years. A passion later turned into a profession, it is truly a family matter given that her younger sister Nadia—downhill bronze medallist at the Beijing 2022 Games—also defends Italian colours. Being born near the Saslong, the famous Val Gardena course where in December 2018 she finished second in downhill and claimed the first of her current six World Cup podiums, only fuels an impossible-to-extinguish fire. She celebrated her first victory in January 2026, when she won the Tarvisio downhill.

As well as charging down international tracks, she practises many other activities, from climbing to surfing and horse riding, enjoys cooking and has in Mika—the sweet white Samoyed dog—an indispensable playmate. Raised on the myth of Denise Karbon and Karen Putzer, she is ready to make the most of her third Olympic experience.
