From Castelrotto in the province of Bolzano—like champions Denise Karbon and Peter Fill—he is a specialist in the speed events. He made his World Cup debut in January 2017, but his career at the top level has been heavily limited by injuries. Even so, they did not prevent him from securing two consecutive downhill podiums (2023 and 2024) on one of the most prestigious and demanding tracks in the world: the legendary Streif in Kitzbühel.
The first, in particular, was unforgettable: he achieved it wearing bib number 43. Seventh in the downhill at the Courchevel/Méribel 2023 World Championships, when he is not on skis he plays the trombone in his local band or helps his father on the family farm on the Alpe di Siusi. At the Milano Cortina Games, he wants to continue his favourite tradition: turning dreams into real objectives.
