He received his first equipment at the age of two and soon became a little skier. Raised in Tuenno with his parents Nadia and Livio and his brother Andrea, he has been captivated by Swiss multi-Olympic champion Michelle Gisin, whom he has been in a relationship with since the summer of 2014. A series of serious injuries has limited the huge potential of a natural giant slalom skier, but he—who loves spending free time in nature and enjoys riding his motocross bike—gives everything to find the right path again.
Nicknamed “Finferlo” for his slim build combined with a passion for mushrooms, in February 2021 he earned the satisfaction of World Championship silver in Cortina. His most consistent season was 2024/2025, finishing 10th in the giant slalom standings and claiming a magical third place in the “temple” of Adelboden. Difficult conditions bring out the best in him, and ahead of the 2026 Games he hopes to give himself a joy destined to remain etched in history.
