She was born on 30 November 2000 in Caledon East, a town of 5,000 people in the Toronto area (Ontario). She began playing ice hockey just like her older brother Stefan, who won junior world championship gold and silver with Canada in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Her paternal grandparents are from southern Italy and many members of the extended family still live there. Developed in the Toronto Leaside Wildcats youth system, she built an outstanding NCAA résumé, playing from 2018 to 2023 for Harvard University, one of the world’s most renowned institutions. Across 128 matches she totalled 122 points—almost one per game. After completing her studies, in 2023/2024 she was drafted by Ottawa in the PWHL but, due to an injury suffered in training in February, she played only nine games. In 2024/2025 she therefore moved to Europe, specifically to South Tyrol with the Eagles Bolzano, where she earned the most coveted milestone: wearing the Italy jersey at the Milano Cortina Olympic Games.
