Born in Moncalieri but raised in Luserna San Giovanni, he comes from a family of ice hockey players. His father is a former player, as is his younger sister Eleonora. Developed in the Valpellice youth system, in 2012 he passed the trial with the Omaha Lancers in the USHL, while in the summer of 2015 he tried an experience in Sweden’s third division with Kallinge. At 23 he moved to South Tyrol to join Bolzano and in 2018 he won the Karl Nedwed Trophy with the Foxes, playing a leading role thanks to the goals that decided both the semi-final series against Vienna and the final against Salzburg.
With well over 500 appearances in the white-and-red jersey, in 2025/2026 (after Daniel Frank) he is the second player with the most games played for the club. At the same time, he has become one of the mainstays of the national team, competing in the Olympic qualifiers for PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022 and in eight World Championship editions across Top Division and Division I (Group A). Milan awaits him for the first chapter of his sporting life under the five rings.
