Biography

Daughter of former player and federation official Dario Saletta, she began playing ice hockey relatively late (at nine), leaving behind skiing and then artistic gymnastics. Developed with the All Stars Piemonte, she also played for the Eagles Bolzano, with whom she secured three Italian titles and one European title. In the national team since 2009, she also spent years as captain wearing number 4—the same jersey number as her father. With Italy she was called up for three Olympic qualification campaigns (Sochi 2014, Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022) and has featured in 14 World Championship editions, earning, among other results, three world titles: Asiago 2014 (Division II Group A), Asiago 2018 (Division I Group B) and Dumfries 2025 (Division I Group B). She currently plays for Swiss club HC Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies. A dual-career athlete who also enjoys hard work in study, she graduated with top marks in Law and later completed a second-level Master’s in Geneva. On the ice of Milano Cortina 2026, she wants to claim yet anotherhonours” grade.
