She is the sister of Sharon Roccella and the cousin of Elisa Biondi, both also ice hockey players in the national team set-up. She first laced up skates at the age of five, splitting her competitive activity with inline too. She grew up with Real Torino but, for many years now, has played steadily in Switzerland and currently wears the colours of HC Davos Ladies. With Italy she was selected for Olympic qualification (later missed) for Beijing 2022 and, among other notable achievements, has two gold medals in her cabinet—Asiago 2018 and Dumfries 2025—won at the Division I (Group B) World Championships. She follows mixed martial arts with passion and loves travelling to immerse herself in cultures and habits different from her own. House music is her favourite genre and, away from matches and training, she unwinds with a film starring her favourite actors Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Aniston. Now, though, she is the protagonist: at Milano Cortina, she makes her Olympic debut.
